2017- Advisory Boards NZ Insights and Highlights

What a busy 2017 at Advisory Boards NZ.

A lot can happen in a year, and Advisory Boards NZ has been hard at work organising workshops, webinars, as well as coaching. Here are a few of Helen’s Insights and Highlights from 2017.

Insight 1:

Seeing an emerging trend of Advisory Boards being formed while focusing on supporting successful business owners transition out of their business. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with several local owners who have implemented a variety of succession planning options. Just last week, I enjoyed a very special lunch with one business owner who after 20+ years in business, had successfully completed the sale of his business to a large NZ owned business.

Insight 2:

The rural sector is now ready for Advisory Boards. It was a pleasure to present at Wolters Kluwer Agri Summit in July. During the two days, it was clear that the rural sector is experiencing significant change and has many unique features that Advisory Boards can add a lot of value to. Looking forward to further developing this in 2018.

Highlight 1:

As Advisory Boards NZ has grown this year we have expanded our team and this year welcome Bev VanVels to Advisory Boards NZ. Bev has been instrumental in our growth this year and has been busy working with all our business owners and Advisory Board members.

Highlight 2:

With Bev on board we have delivered a wider range of educational events with numerous workshops and webinars. They were all well received and well attended. The feedback and enthusiasm for Advisory Boards continues to gather steam. We get a huge amount of satisfaction helping business owners set up their Advisory Boards while getting the support they need to achieve their personal and business goals.

Highlight 3:

Our Advisory Board Member Register has continued to grow organically. We now have 70 professionals registered online offering their services as Advisory Board members. If you have been intending to register yourself as an Advisory Board member, then this year we have made it even easier for you to do so. If you want to get this ball rolling over the holidays simply email Bev and when we return from a short break, Bev will be in touch to help you with your registration.

We have a lot lined up for 2018 already, we have set dates for new workshops starting in the new year. Find out more about Advisory Board workshops.
