In my 27 years in NZ, I have worked for just 6 companies and have increased sales and profits dramatically in every role. I have just finished my role as GM of Van Den Brink Poultry after 5 years where sales grew 50% in a commodity category, market share increased from 16 to over 18% and profits increased 250%. During this time, I focused on driving a new vision/mission throughout the 550 employees and managed to increase the IBM/Kenexa engagement score from 25 to nearly 50.
I started my career 27 years ago after having moved here from the USA from the Abbott Pharmaceutical business: I spent my first 4 years in a senior Marketing role with Griffins, then the next 5 years as Sales & Marketing Manager for Healtheries, then the next 7 years as Divisional GM at BDM Grange, then 3 years as GM of API Consumer Brands, the next 3 years as MD/CEO of Brandlines/FNZ distributing confectionery brands like Ferrero Rocher, Tic Tac, before taking on the role as GM of Van Den Brink Poultry as mentioned above. I have an MBA from the top 5 ranked USA JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago.
